Amlwch is a small harbour town on Anglesey's north coast that once sat beside the world's biggest copper mine, at nearby Parys Mountain.
Its shops, trades and small firms serve a town of about 3,100 people, according to the 2021 census, along with heritage visitors driving out to the coast. Many of those visitors check opening times on a phone with patchy signal before they set off, so a plain, fast website that shows your hours and number straight away does far more for you than a fiddly one you have to keep logging in to.
In the late 18th century Amlwch was, for a time, the second largest town in Wales, and Parys Mountain is now a scheduled ancient monument, with the Copper Kingdom centre telling its story. A £10.4 million project approved in January 2026 is refurbishing the former Marine Terminal Building at Porth Amlwch and adding ten business units, with work due to finish in spring 2027.
